Ayana Coston is an Executive Coach and recovering Human Resources leader. She comes with 20 years of experience navigating and designing inclusive cultures as well as managing people. She helps clients develop the leadership capabilities with courage and boldness. She understands the changing corporate landscape’s complexities as well as the challenges that come with meeting organizational success and balancing employee performance and satisfaction. She integrates her HR experience with her ability to focus as an executive coach and organizational development consultant.
Ayana has spent her career committed to the employee experience while supporting leaders during complex change. In her coaching, she is invested in helping people gain new insights, make informed choices and showing up authentically in pursuit of their professional and personal aspirations. She helps clients stretch their leadership capacity while honoring their values to advance their organization’s mission and goals.
She is a passionate and energetic coach, that sometimes catches leaders off guard with her simple yet subtle questions, which invite you to really think deeply and be intentional about owning your goals. Ayana is a fan of open, vulnerable, honest conversations being the root to living a more purposeful life. Using assessments such as MBTI, DiSC, CliftonStrengths, and 360 Feedback, she gets to know her clients personally and takes pride in those relationships. She focuses on coaching the whole person and not getting stuck on singular problems or solutions. Ayana has coached in a variety of government, Nonprofit, Fortune 500, and Pharmaceutical/ biotech environments.
With varied corporate and government positions ranging from International HR, HR Generalist, Recruitment, Training, Leadership Development and Internal Coaching, Anaya is a seasoned consultant who designs and facilitates impactful and experiential training and development experiences sessions for leaders and staff on topics such as: diversity, equity and inclusion, conflict resolution, team development, leadership effectiveness, group/team coaching, etc.
Ayana is trained and certified by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), she draws from the institute’s model of co-active coaching and holds credentials as an ICF Certified Professional Coach (PCC). When not coaching, Ayana enjoys cooking, entertaining friends and family, and planning vacations to the beach. Her favorite activities include going to wineries, spending time with her family and spoiling her many nieces and nephews.
