Kristin Kaufman, an executive and leadership coach and consultant with Innolect, Inc., works with individuals, boards of directors and corporations to find alignment within themselves and their organizations. Kristin brings 25 years of corporate experience to engagements, including executive positions at Hewlett-Packard and United Health Group. At Hewlett-Packard, Kristin was the General Manager of the channels and partner program that supported Hewlett-Packard’s largest corporate accounts. This business represented a $3 billion revenue stream for Hewlett-Packard. As Group Vice President of United Health Group, she leveraged her strong knowledge of the technology business and how to leverage multiple channels to market in the increasingly complicated world of healthcare and healthcare insurance.
A member of the International Coaching Federation, Kristin earned the Professional Certified Coach distinction and was also awarded the Certified Leadership Coach designation from Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching program. Kristin works with individuals and teams who seek ongoing personal and professional development. She uses a variety of assessment tools to help leaders gain insight including The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP) 360, the Maturity Assessment Profile (MAP), MBTI and Lominger’s Career Architect and Voices.
Kristin guides leaders interested in the power of honest self-awareness and enhanced knowledge of their stage of development to learn how they make meaning in the world and work. She passionately embraces transparency with others and ongoing feedback to enhance performance and regularly works with organizations in the areas of strategic planning, team building, emotional intelligence, and leading transformational change.
In her transition from corporate America, Kristin was chosen as of one of two private sector business executives to join the NYC Leadership Academy effort, the centerpiece of the New York City Children First reform agenda. With New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other senior leaders, Kristin trained/coached 1,200 principals and the top 100 staff executives.
A prolific writer, Kristin’s first book, Is This Seat Taken? Random Encounters That Change Your Life, was released on 11/1/11 to national acclaim, and endorsed by Stephen Covey and John Maxwell. Her second book, entitled Is This Seat Taken? It’s Never Too Late to Find the Right Seat was released in January 2015, and endorsed by Marshall Goldsmith, Sean Covey, and Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines.
Kristin has served as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business working alongside Dr. Noel Tichy, and has offered her services in the Executive Education Program for Southern Methodist University, in workshops and leadership coaching. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
