Executive Leadership Coach
Russ Pierce. Ph.D., an Innolect Executive Coach, is a trained executive coach, mediator and a retired licensed clinical psychologist. In his consulting practice he works with executives and managers on work relationships, conflict management, team building, work efficiencies, motivation and career development.
Russ has worked with over 2000 executives and managers from Fortune 500 companies to small and family businesses, both internationally and domestically. He has taught university courses and conducted workshops including ones in Interpersonal Relations in Business, Coaching and Mentoring, and Conflict Resolution.
Russ is experienced with a variety of leadership and psychological assessment instruments that are used to help leaders gain self-awareness so that they can better achieve their professional and personal goals. His breadth of experience, leadership expertise and ability to gain insight quickly, allows Russ to help leaders navigate the complexity and ambiguity within the current organizational climate with new options for effectiveness.
Russ’ approach to coaching leaders is to collaboratively develop a customized roadmap with the participant. Russ uses inquiry to learn about the individual and to engage the leader in strategies for deeper reflection. He sees his role as one to challenges individuals to stretch in their growth, all within a supportive climate. Using an individual development plan, each session addresses goals and actions aligned with the company culture as well as the individual’s career aspirations.
Russ holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and is a trained mediator (National Conflict Resolution Center). His Executive Coach training and certification has been through the Center for Creative Leadership.
Russ is married and has two daughters. He enjoys time with family and friends, as well as reading. He is an avid pickleball player and has an avocation of genealogy.
