Cathy Carroll, an Executive Leadership Coach with Innolect Inc., works with leaders who want to advance their organization and individuals who want to accelerate their potential. Enthusiastic about development, Cathy appreciates coaching individuals who share her commitment to professional development and personal growth. Her coaching approach helps people get a broader view, giving them greater means to achieve the outcomes they want in their professional and personal lives, transition into new roles and responsibilities and expand their capacity to manage complexity and lead more effectively.
Cathy has worked with leaders in family businesses, professional services, entrepreneurial enterprises, and not-for-profits. She uses a variety of assessment tools in her work including The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP) 360 and Hogan Assessments. She has been coaching in the Loyola Family Business Center’s Next Generation Leadership Institute since 2015, and she has spoken at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the Center for Family Enterprises at Kellogg, DePaul’s Family Business Council, the Family Firm Institute and the Purposeful Planning Institute.
Cathy has been studying adult development theory continuously since 2013. Although most familiar with the Dr. Susanne Cook-Greuter model of adult development, she has also studied Dr. Robert Kegan’s Theory of Adult Development under Jennifer Garvey-Berger and is familiar with Ken Wilbur’s Integral theory.
Cathy spent her first 20-years in large corporations; first as an actuary at Hewitt Associates, and after her MBA, in executive finance, marketing and sales roles at Sabre Inc. and United Airlines. In 2009, she joined her family’s manufacturing business as President and Chief Operating Officer to lead a turn-around, before leaving to pursue her keen interest in leadership coaching.
Cathy earned her leadership coaching certificate at Georgetown University, an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BA at Boston College. Cathy is also an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University in Chicago. A member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), she maintains a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential.
Cathy serves on the board of three businesses, Just Born, Inc., Alper Services and ET Products. An active member of the community, she serves as Board Treasurer of Georgetown’s ITL Network, is Past-President of the Family Firm Institute Midwest Chapter, served for two years as Board Secretary of the ICF-Chicago Chapter, and is a founding board member of A Leg To Stand On which helps children with limb disabilities in developing countries. Cathy is based in San Antonio, TX.
