Senior Consultant / Executive Coach
Michael E. Perry, Ph.D., Consultant and Executive Coach, believes that genuine relationships and care for other human beings are the keys to unlimited potential, no matter the organization or industry. He has committed his life to partnering with leaders to help harness the power of relationships to enhance performance, increase productivity, improve communication, and find common purpose. Mike’s goal is to “change the conversation” in ways that transform culture and create workplaces that draw and retain talented people.
Mike is an accomplished leadership, human performance, and behavioral health expert, having served for over 20 years in the US Army before his retirement. He is an executive coach, leadership consultant, and licensed therapist. Mike has a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life–an ability he attributes to his parents’ early messages of humility and appreciation for all people. Although he has retired from the military, Mike considers himself a life-long servant and has committed to partnering with private and public-sector leaders as they seek to create collaborative, high-performing teams.
Michael is sought after for his candor, compassion, and ability to help his clients envision previously unseen possibilities. His clients include the Department of the US Navy, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (SC), East Cooper Medical Center (Charleston, SC), Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC), Prince William County Public Schools (Woodbridge, VA), Meriam Process Technologies (A Scott Fetzer Company, Cleveland, OH) and the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce (Evans, GA).
Mike met an Army nurse named Wendy in 1997, and he has not left her side since. They were married at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center Chapel in Washington, DC and now have two daughters, 17 and 14 years old. Mike and Wendy are also actively involved in developing a leadership consulting firm as well as leading ministry work for married couples in their community.
Mike earned his Master’s Degree in Research Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Mike also has earned a certification in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University.
